Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how SimpliTech (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use Travel Planner at travelplanner.simplitech.app (the “Service”).

1. Information we collect

Account information. When you sign up, our identity provider Clerk stores your email, authentication identifiers, profile name, and avatar. We receive a user ID and basic profile fields from Clerk.

Trip content. Itineraries, activities, notes, packing lists, costs, collaborators you invite, and social-collection URLs you save are stored on our infrastructure so we can show them back to you.

Billing information. If you upgrade to Pro or Pro Max, our payment processor LemonSqueezy collects your name, billing address, and payment method. We never see or store your full card number; we receive a subscription ID and status.

Usage data. Pages visited, feature usage counts, AI prompt counts, route-calculation counts, error logs, and basic device/browser information.

2. How we use information

We use the data above to: (a) operate and improve the Service; (b) generate AI itineraries by sending your prompt and trip context to model providers; (c) enforce plan limits and bill you correctly; (d) send transactional emails (sign-in links, billing receipts, critical service notices); (e) prevent abuse, fraud, and quota evasion.

3. AI model providers

To generate itineraries and analyses, we send the text of your prompts and relevant trip context to one or more of: OpenAI (ChatGPT/GPT models), Anthropic (Claude), and Google (Gemini). These providers process the content on our behalf under their respective API terms. We do not allow them to use your data to train their general-purpose models.

4. Other third parties

  • + Clerk — authentication and session management.
  • + LemonSqueezy — subscription billing and tax handling.
  • + Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, database (D1), and edge compute.
  • + Map and weather providers — used to resolve places, compute routes, and fetch forecasts.

5. Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and browser storage strictly for authentication sessions, user preferences, and basic analytics. We do not run third-party advertising cookies.

6. Data retention

We keep account and trip data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize associated data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (for example, tax records for paid plans).

7. Your rights

You can access and edit most of your data from inside the app. To request a data export or full account deletion, email support@simplitech.app. Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR/EEA, UK, California, etc.), you may also have rights to rectification, restriction, portability, and objection.

8. Security

All traffic to the Service is encrypted with TLS. Data at rest is stored on Cloudflare infrastructure with platform-level encryption. We restrict internal access to user data to engineers who require it to operate the Service.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International transfers

We are headquartered in Vietnam. Your data may be processed in jurisdictions where our providers (Clerk, LemonSqueezy, AI model providers, Cloudflare) operate, including the United States and the European Union.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
